Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Gonzalez Collins who is also known as Antonietta Gonzales-Collins in the US and Mexico, is an American Mexican sportscaster. She is the host of SportsNation and serves as an anchor for SportsCenter anchor. She began working for ESPN as a reporter in the year 2016. The child of the journalist on television Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta has been bilingual since age nine. Her ability was crucial in helping her land her first position as producer assistant at Univision Miami, where she assisted the production of programs including Nuestra Belleza Latina and Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. In 2009, the CBS station in St. Petersburg hired her in the following year as the sports reporter. In 2009 she relocated from Texas in the Rio Grande Valley where she was a news reporter at KNVO TV 48 Univision. Reporters covered issues related to the issue of immigration and trafficking drugs throughout Texas as well as Mexico. Also, she was often asked to serve as an anchor for sports and weather. She was born November 22 on the 22nd of October, 1985, in Mexico City. She has an older sister. In 1992, the family left Mexico to the US and settled in Miami. Her parents divorced within a short time and in the year 1995, she got married to a naval architect named Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo died in 2006 due to kidney cancer. In June in 2006 she spent an entire week with her sister at Canton Ohio. The older Collins girl was employed at the time. Antonietta was a senior in high school having a clear idea of where she wanted her future to be like, visited Mount Union University to see what she could get out of the college. The result was that she enjoyed the university, and the university had the program she desired. After high school, she graduated and was enrolled in media studies at the college. The professor she had was Mark Bergmann, who managed WRMU FM and was student in the class, established an ongoing relationship with the student. His passion for journalism and confidence in her own abilities instilled confidence in her. In turn, she attempted to live up to the standards he set and to not disappoint him.
